We are delighted to invite you to join us for a new RM Sunday Session about the emerging Brazilian artist Desali. During a zoom webinar on Sunday January 24th at 4 PM (CET), the artist’s gallerist Filipe Masini (Director of Galeria Athena, Rio de Janeiro) and Felipe Melo (Art Advisor) will talk about Desali, one of the artists participating in our Brazil-themed group exhibition Já estava assim quando eu cheguei. The conversation is in English and moderated by Frederik Schampers, curator of the exhibition and director of Galeria Nara Roesler, New York.

Meet the speakers:

Filipe Masini founded Galeria Athena in Rio de Janeiro and represents the artist Desali. His main goal is to introduce Brazilian and international artists within a contemporary context, to address the concerns and trends of the Brazilian art scene.⁠

Felipe Melo is a founding partner at Art_Ahead, an art advisory firm based in São Paulo/Brazil. He is an enthusiast of post-war artistic movements and a specialist in Brazilian contemporary art.

Frederik Schampers is curator of the Brazilian group exhibition Já estava assim quando eu cheguei. He is the former director of Galerie Ron Mandos and is now director of Galeria Nara Roesler, New York.
